DONATING UNSOLD ITEMS:
One of the most wonderful and rewarding things that comes from this sale is our ability to help children and families in need in our community. The consignors of The Savvy Sale are given the opportunity after each sale to donate unsold items to worthy charities. We choose charities that help local Arizona children, moms and families that are struggling and are truly in need. Tax deductible donation forms are available upon request at your drop off appointment.
A big thank you to all of our consignors who choose to donate their unsold items at the end of the sale.
Here is just one of the expressions of gratitude we have received in a letter from Monica Barrows, Director of Resource Development at the International Rescue Committee.
"The clothes that were donated were absolutely wonderful - charming clothes that were beautifully maintained. Each time a package has been delivered, the refugee mother's face simply lights up and I believe it's because it's every mother's desire to see her children taken care of even before herself."
The Fall/Winter 2008 Savvy Mommies sale was happy to support a fundraiser for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
Jose’s Closet exists to store children’s clothes and equipment that are donated by various sources. Often a child is placed in a foster home with only the clothes on their backs. Jose’s Closet offers foster and adoptive parents a place where they can pick up clothes and other items for the children. It also offers a place where foster and adoptive parents can exchange clothes, cribs, strollers, toys or other equipment.
Jose's Closet is sponsored by the Arizona Association for Foster and Adoptive Parents (AZAFAP). All are well come to Jose's Closet as a guest for the first visit.
