DONATING UNSOLD ITEMS:
One of the most wonderful and rewarding things that comes from this sale is our ability to help children and families in need in our community. The consignors of The Savvy Sale are given the opportunity after each sale to donate unsold items to worthy charities. We choose charities that help local Arizona children, moms and families that are struggling and are truly in need. Tax deductible donation forms are available upon request at your drop off appointment.
A big thank you to all of our consignors who choose to donate their unsold items at the end of the sale.
Here is just one of the expressions of gratitude we have received in a letter from Monica Barrows, Director of Resource Development at the International Rescue Committee.
"The clothes that were donated were absolutely wonderful - charming clothes that were beautifully maintained. Each time a package has been delivered, the refugee mother's face simply lights up and I believe it's because it's every mother's desire to see her children taken care of even before herself."
An additional outlet for distributing your donated items to needy families is our Blessings Closet. The Blessings Closet allows pre-selected families to "shop" for free after the sale pick-up is over. We will be in contact with local charitable agencies to offer their clients this opportunity. You may also contact us about any families you might know who are in need.
The Fall/Winter 2008 Savvy Mommies sale was happy to support a fundraiser for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
